A new trailer has emerged for the latest outing in the long running Tomb Raider series and it’s certainly a little on the unexpected side with a bit of a Diablo vibe definitely present – that’s not a bad thing either.
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is currently being developed by Crystal Dynamics and will be released via Digital Download sometime in 2010.

Wow.. that’s certainly a novel approach to the game, the top down view really sits well with me. I’ve not played any of the series since the original Tomb Raider… which I enjoyed, but didn’t fall in love with enough to want to play the others. I really like the idea of this though, and if that’s in-game footage then the graphics whore in me is a happy bunny
