Dizzy Remake Gameplay Trailer Released

Every Speccy or C64 gamer worth their salt will remember the most unlikely of action heroes to have graced the humble home computer: Dizzy.  Yes, the adventurous, boxing-glove clad egg is finally set to make a return after all these years, for the iPad, albeit in the form of a remake rather than a new adventure.  The classic title Dizzy: Prince of the Yolkfolk has been resurrected and will be seeing a release on 9th December, 2011 for the iPad (priced at £2.49), iPhone (£1.49), and Android (£1.49).

The official site has been showing off a new gameplay trailer featuring the yolky hero in all his remade glory and we have to say that it looks pretty spiffy, even if it is for the finger dragging gaming market.  Yes, we remember the heady days of navigating treetop platforms, crossing the river Styx, and plucking thorns from a lion’s paw well, and now veteran retro gamers (that’s a fancy term for ‘old’ or ‘mature’) and new blood alike will be able to enjoy them once again.  The trailer and a host of screenies for your viewing pleasure can be found here.
