Game Journo Job Up For Grabs At LGF2010

Those after a job in the games industry might want to prick up their ears and get their pens poised because London Games Festival are offering the chance to be ‘an integral’ part of their event.  One person will be offered the chance to become the festival’s voice, attending every event that the festival has to offer and reporting on it via a series of blogs on the festival website.

The 2010 London Games Festival cranks into gear on 30th September on the eve of the Eurogamer Expo, with a VIP opening.  The lucky winner will have a chance to hob nob with the industry’s finest and sample a selection of games before the event opens to the public.  Other events nestling beneath the LGF umbrella include the Golden Joystick Awards, the MCM Expo, and, oddly, a day at Chessington World of Adventures.

“We’re looking for two enthusiastic gamers, who are keen to join the games industry, to become the festival’s official ‘voice’. This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring writers and bloggers – not just to see the inner workings of all aspects of the games industry, but to get their work in front of a global audience.” Said London Games Festival director, Kirsty Payne.

Travel and basic expenses will be covered, all you need to do is show up, have a great time, and tell the world about it.  So, no pressure.  To be in with a chance, send an email detailing in under 200 words why you are the ideal person for the job to the following address: kirsty.payne@ukie.info

Please note: You will have to be in or around London for the duration of the festival…we don’t think they’ll be forking out for you to travel down from John O’Groats.  Good luck folks!
