Rock Band 3 with Keyboards

If keyboard bashing music fans have been left out in the cold with the numerous Guitar Hero/Rock Band type offerings, then they’re about to finally be allowed into the party with the news that Rock Band 3 is expanding its instrument lineup to seven, which includes – you guessed it – a keyboard.

“With the introduction of keyboards, we get to bring a ton of amazing new music onto the platform, which will help feed the appetite for music for years to come,” Said Harmonix CEO, Alex Rigopulos.

With a reported 83 new songs and a drop in/out functionality along with a raft of tweaks and refinements, Rock Band 3 will no doubt be a top seller, especially given its shrewd Christmas release.

Cupboard space for plastic peripherals must be at a premium by now in most gaming households, and with the news that there will be not only two ‘advanced’ guitar controllers, but that one of them will be a full sized and fully functional Fender Guitar, it is clear that something will have to give…you didn’t want all those clothes anyway, right?
