About the author...
One of the first games I really got into was the cultural milestone that is Dino Crisis 2. At every possible opportunity I would walk over to my best friend's house in our tiny village, and we would sit and play this wonderfully terrible game for hours on end. We were absolutely horrendous at it. Even though neither of us could wrap our heads around even the most basic mechanics and we died almost non-stop, we both loved the experience and it provided the foundations for a friendship that is still going over twelve years later. This is what started my love of games. Their ability to bring people together made them fascinating to me. Since then I've gone on to study game design at university, and I continue to be fascinated by the effect games can have. Games take up a pretty big part of my life; I make them, I play them, and now I occasionally write about them.
These days I spend most of my gaming time on my aging PC. Recently it's begun to audibly choke and spew dust whenever I attempt to run a new game, so an upgrade, or possibly a new console, may be in sight within the near future.
