Our old friend the chat box

Had ourselves a bit of a discussion this morning, also asked a couple of forumers for their opinions on the matter too and the conclusion was a resounding "let's try it out and see what happens". It was too early for a "YAAAAY!".

So here's the deal... from Friday evenings at around 5pm, the chatbox will open its doors for the weekend. Ben likens it to being "our very own tavern", which I like. We don't want the forums being neglected but weekends are when people tend to flit in and out rather than get into heavy in-depth forum discussions, so it makes sense for the chatbox to be open for that fluid conversation type drop in environment. It'll allow folk to catch up, chat without worrying about derailing a thread and they also don't have to actually sit down and think about what they want to say... it's the weekend, after all. We're all shattered by the time it comes around, well I am for sure.

Monday morning, the chatbox will close again... people will be back at work and the forums will be back to the way they always are midweek... and I don't want to be responsible for people (Peteple) getting fired for tarting around on a chatbox too much!

So there we have it... it's not back full time, but it's there for the weekend.
