Playing Dark Void which isn't horrible. Stunning music from the guy that did the BSG score.
Plays like Iron Man a bit. Pretty epic at times.
Playing on Hard and nabbing the collectibles in one run which is less fun.
Rich, it's Prince of Persia. Proper Prince of Persia, not that reboot shit they tried in 2008.
I loved it. It had the Prince. He was in Persia. He was leaping and climbing over shit and beating on sand monsters. Piss poor combat mechanics are such a part of the franchise that I don't even notice any more.
Oh god... the 2008 reboot was fucking abysmal. The combat on that was offensively bad. This one certainly had better combat. I quite liked the big brawls you had in it. The game's mostly puzzle-platforming which I normally hate but they did it quite nicely and it really had some stunning graphics.
Off to the sales at lunchtime for more lemony goodness.
Spray that fucking citrusy goodness into my FACE, baby.
Mindjack makes me hate games journalism. It's Metacritic average is 43%, thanks to mass fuckwittery that made everyone in the world hate the game and then mewl about it on their assorted bullshit websites.
Fact: Mindjack is good.
It's perpetually a fiver because it's apparently so awful but it's the most interesting thing I've played in a while. It's a slightly stodgy third person cover shooter. About as well executed as Mass Effect 1 or Alpha Protocol (actually it's a bit better than that). You progress through the campaign (there are no other modes) shooting folk, leveling up and equiping perks.
The game is very linear and broken down into short sub-levels. It tells a fairly generic tale of a federal agent in the near future being double-crossed as he fights through quite samey levels punctuated with enemy agents and mechs.
The interesting thing is that at any point other plays can hack into your game. If they hack into the blue team, they become co-op players in your game. The game is a lot more fun in co-op.
If they hack into the red team, they take over the enemy agents etc and try to stop you but it's still in the context of the campaign. It's a bit like the matrix. Any agents, mechs or civilians can be taken over by them.
It's all very good fun and sufficiently different enough to keep me interested! A true lemon. In a good way.
