1 missing orb? I'm sorry but that's funny. But don't worry. I have been punished. I once went on the search for all 200 pigeons in GTA IV. Got to the end and had 199. Angry does not even begin to describe my feelings. I had to start a new game and go through it all AGAIN. This time, I did find all 200. But with the orbs, I think I am down to the last 60. Not quite as close as it is for you, but painful enough.

The find all Treasure Chests achievement on Fairytale Fights is a nightmare because over three months on, the devs still haven't patched the problem. As for collectable woes, the Kingdom flags on Assassin's Creed were a pain in the arse because I'd either missed one or had it glitch, I still don't know. I think that if I had hated the game, going through it again would have been soul destroying but as it was, I enjoyed it. Still, I may run into the same issue with the feathers in AC2 though since I picked up a few early on and didn't pay attention to where exactly. When I come to get back into the game, I know I will suffer for it.

The feathers aren't as bad as there's only 100. Unlike the hundreds of flags. Tomb Raider Underworld at least breaks down the gems and relics for each area. Actually AC2 does that too.

Feathers/flags/pigeons/orbs - the life of a cheev hewah.

I've missed a couple of notes in Bayonetta, but at least you can select levels.

I was missing one agility orb on Crackdown. My hard drive then died and wiped the save. I haven't been able to play it since , hurts too much.

I have a few achievements I'm proud of! Escorting the gnome through Half Life 2 Episode 2 was a cracking laugh and a real challenge. Running along the train tracks with the chopper hitting him out your hands every two seconds...crouching behind an overturned carriage with him in your arms and preparing yourself for a suicide sprint was an incredible feeling. Subsequently I went a bit insane in L4D2 when my little gnomey friend was in one of the stages, escorting him out with friends was fantastic fun.

Elsewhere Mile High Club in Modern Warfare was an amazingly clevel achievement. 2 minutes of rock hard difficulty, classic arcade gameplay really.

I hate games with "find all theorbs/pigeons/bits of fluff" type acheivements. Especially in games like GTA where the map is huge and the objects are tiny. The only game that springs to mind where I didn't mind hunting for stuff was Fallout 3's bobble-heads and Super Mutants because there wasn't many of either. But finding 200 pigeons in a city devoid of any other avian lifeforms can fuck right off

I too hated the GTA achievement. Mainly because unlike Crackdown and Assassins Creed it wasn't fun to explore. You were clumsy, slow and lacking acrobatic ability.

Good point..Assassin's Creed is gorgeous, free flowing and feels wonderfully agile which can make all the difference. My only issue was that in the distance, a lot of the scenery would often have shimmering edges or lines which often had me mistaking it for my missing flag, rather like a cruel mirage. I can imagine that if you are presented with a slow and clunky character built for shotgun blasting rather than free-running, collecting suddenly becomes a living hell.

I'm not looking forward to the Tomb Raider Underworld collecting since I picked up a handful of treasures already so picking back through with a guide will be insanely laborious. Probably better off starting from scratch.
