Default Day 25: It's so shiny

    Morning all!

What's your favourite box art for a game? Something that you saw that really made you think, 'yeah that looks awesome'. It's a shame that we have digital downloads in some ways because in ten years time boxes may become obsolete.

    Sad times.

Syndicate on the Amiga came in an unpracticably large green box. It was nice though.

bah... looks less good now. Oh well.

Favourite... I'll have to think about that. Most pivotal is this - The Pawn by Magnetic Scrolls. It is the reason I begged my parents for an Amiga and is solely responsible for getting me into computer graphics in a big way. Were it not for this game, I probably wouldn't be a designer and there likely wouldn't be a GamingLives.

For favourites though, it'd have to be one of these...

Oooooooh it's an invisible signature... oooooooooh!!
"If you want me to 'act professional', I can tell you that I'm not interested. I'm sitting in my home office wearing a bathrobe. The same way I'm not going to start wearing ties, I'm *also* not going to buy into the fake politeness, the lying, the office politics and backstabbing, the passive aggressiveness, and the buzzwords. Because THAT is what 'acting professionally' results in: people resort to all kinds of really nasty things because they are forced to act out their normal urges in unnatural ways."
