Default Day 3: The Return of the King

Sorry for the later post people, working nights this week.

Today you need to consider the following question.

What's the best game you've played that no-one else ever did? That diamond in the rough, the unknown gem, that.. sparkling ruby. (I've run out of precious stone related quips).

It doesn't have to be your favourite game of all time, just a bloody cracking game that flew under everyone else's radar?

Hidden gems and delicious lemons you say? That'd be my specialist subject.

I won't go all obscure and will instead pick something y'all can find this generation. Gripshift on XBLA. It's literally the best Kart-style game of all time. Completely shits on any version of Mario Kart for a start.

Hocus Pocus. I only know of one other person who played it. And my brother.

Wish I could play it again

Yu-Gi-Oh: Capsule Monster Coliseum. Judging by how hard it was to find it, there about 12 copies made ever. Great game though, must have played it through a half dozen times.

Somewhere out there Ed cried out like someone had stabbed him in the heart. I laughed.

For me it would be Nexus The Jupiter Incident, best sci-fi fleet based tactical combat strategy game I've ever played. Eh actually it may be the only one I've ever played. Very short game, only like 15 missions but you are given a fleet and, combat is slow and cinematic.

You have to tactically move your stuff around, smaller ships are great at taking out weapons using laser weapons but they can be taken out extremely quickly, while the heavy ones are incredibly slow moving but have a huge number of weapons. Also if you lose a ship between missions you lose it, making the rest of the missions tougher.

That or Evil Genius. Not sure why that wasn't a mega hit. Basically you play an evil genius, you build a evil lair on a tropical island, send your minions off to take out targets or steal treasures from the world, all the while trying to defend your lair from spies. It's a total James Bond spoof and it's brilliant.
Do or do not. There is no try.

    Ohh! Got one.

Perfect Dark on the GameBoy Colour. It was a prequel to the N64 game, and had a rumble pack on it that took camera batteries. It played kinda like the original Metal Gear games.

Can I cheat and say Dishonored? Given that Zero never got a chance to play it before Toffchops whisked him off to get him to carry his sammidges? Okay, that's probably unfair... well my gem would definitely be OIO then. I doubt ANYONE has played it.

In case any of you HAVE played it, then I nominate Tesla: The Weather Man...

Oooooooh it's an invisible signature... oooooooooh!!
"If you want me to 'act professional', I can tell you that I'm not interested. I'm sitting in my home office wearing a bathrobe. The same way I'm not going to start wearing ties, I'm *also* not going to buy into the fake politeness, the lying, the office politics and backstabbing, the passive aggressiveness, and the buzzwords. Because THAT is what 'acting professionally' results in: people resort to all kinds of really nasty things because they are forced to act out their normal urges in unnatural ways."
