I haven't finished the game yet, but I heard that most people aren't happy with the endings. But to be honest, I don't expect a satisfying ending because there's probably nothing that can compete with the experience of the entire game series. I guess the expectations of most people where way to high because "ZOMG MASS EFFECT!!!1111elevnoneone".
And there aren't many games that have a good ending. The reason: Because it's the end and we don't like it when things we love come to an end.

I completed the game and didn't like the ending I got. Still to see if completing the MP (sigh) will have make much difference or if it's just for an achievement. Still need to try for a different ending and how a different romance option when I go for my Insanity run.
However, changing the ending of the game makes me think about Fallout where there was only one ending until some DLC came out that changed the ending so there would be more game to play.
Now we know.
A video game is the artistic vision of the developer. It's not our right to demand that they change it if doesn't meet our expectations. Even if we paid for the game. I mean, you wouldn't ask da Vinci to change the Mona Lisa because you don't like her smile.
I haven't finished the game yet but an anti-climactic ending is not going to bother me. I've had almost 100 hours of exceptional video game action across three games. Why should I chuck my toys out of the pram?
I think that mostly it comes down to the disgusting sense of entitlement that a section of the Internet generation possess. F*ck them.
