I am tempted by the Final Fantasy 13 guide book. Some cheeky chancer on Amazon wants £149 for his.
That's why I bought two - one for me and one for investment purposes
Have never and will never likely play the game, but a guide that gorgeous had to be bought!
"A pledge pin?! On your uniform?!"
Oh my. Thought I'd look at the prices of guides and... Wow! They're often more expensive than buying a copy of the actual game.
Also, yes the Dragon Age guide is lovely. It's also actually useful. Some guides really are a waste of time or just poorly put together. For example, the Oblivion guide is comprehensive yet terrible to navigate, tsk...
I think they missed a real trick with the Oblivion guide...it could have been a gorgeous leatherbound tome with parchment look paper...I'd have paid a mint for it. *le sigh*
"A pledge pin?! On your uniform?!"
Yeah, but I want all fantasy RPG guides to be like that anyway Lorna, and they never are. Even if you get a cloth map or something it looks like a novelty tea towel, like those ones they sell on the seaside to tourists.
"Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you."
- Friedrich Nietzsche, Beyond Good and Evil (1886)
MarkuzR doesn't design Gaming Guides, but if he did... oh yeah baby
