PC Gaming/Steam

Oh my... what's this? Me, a 360 whore all up in PC gubbins? Truth is, loves, if I see another third person shooter, rubbish fighting game or a hack and slasher, I'm going to cry hot bees.

So I've slunk back onto my PC. Has been like five years or something. When did Half-Life 2 come out? Well it was around then.

I've installed this new fangled Steam thing. It's good. You know how XBLA gets deals of the week but they are bollocks? Well Steam has deals all the time.

Today they've got the entire Civ 4 thing (expansions and all) for just under FOUR QUID.

Oh well, glad you could finally join all us Steam addicts! Most of us half spent our live savings on Steam Sales, we all love them so much that we despise them, only because they are usually so damn good we can not resist and have to spend our last few pennies that sit at the bottom of the savings jar.

Welcome to the club. Steam has pretty much taken over my PC gaming life. There are quite a few of us on there. We have a community page I think, no idea how to link you to it, but if you do a search for gaming lives it should come up.

I actually just updated steam yesterday for the first time in over 2 months again. The deals are really awesome, got some good games for a real good price. But for some reason nobody can add me.

Also, just bought Civilization 4, X-COM complete Pack and Star Wars Republic Commando for 30€

Not that I have ever seen anything happen within the group or anything... not even sure I am still -in- it... I shall just wander off and be quiet as I am waffling.. too much Dr Pepper!

It's mad cos I was so fucking done with PC gaming.

That said, since getting onto Steam, I've mostly been playing non-Steam games. That said, I had a big sesh on Unreal Tournament earlier and it's the most (read: only) fun I've gotten out of an online shooter since GRAW2). It's still brilliantly wonderful.

Civ4... oh man, I'm all up in that.

I may end up with more games than I can reasonably hope to finish.

I'll tell you what else I'm liking about Steam: I couldn't give a flying toss about PC achievements.
