Good computer protection Programs?

Thanks for all of the responses, I think i might look into Mark's results, ZoneAlarm sounds good, I've gone off AVG has i bought the full version 2 years back, and this backdoor worm that gets into my system and deletes all my admin features, has happaned twice while AVG does just about nothing. It's instant stuff really nothing long term, so i need to try something new.

I feel for you man! My home PC, which I only use for this forum, job searching and news, is also mainly used by my 7 kids who don't understand that using sites like Bin Weevils and Friv amongst other flash games sites can risk the security of the PC and It take me 5-6 hours to reinstall the computer when it starts running like p1ssing through a coffee filter.

Wasn't you though, it was some shitty advertiser that clearly hadn't been screened and their coding had malware built in to it. Just means I don't go to cracked.com anymore though, as it shows they don't vet their advertisers for clean code. Idiots.
