Ten things I learned when some folk came to hang out for a while at GLHQ innit

4. Ed eats more than any person I have ever met in my life... like, constantly.
5. Pete is able to predict a sunny day for a barbecue and be totally and utterly wrong
6. It's entirely possible to barbecue in the pissing rain when Pete holds a fucking huge picnic umbrella over me AND the barbecue
7. Gamers eat so much fucking shit, it's unbelievable
8. Zero is way WAY better at Arkham Asylum than Victor is, and I like to shit stir
9. Lee has a direct line to an electrical support group for when fuse boxes keep tripping
10. I can't count
11. Lee's controller is much heavier than everyone elses, even if he doesn't believe us
12. Someone farted earlier and almost fucking killed me, but nobody owned up
13. Someone else, or perhaps the same person, farted again and it was worse this time
14. Billy Mitchell is even more of a cunt than I first thought, seriously... it's possible!
15. Awesomeburgers continue to be awesome
16. Ben knows way too much about how gaming works, and it spoils his gaming
17. Pete's fire poi is worth waiting for, and sounds awesome
18. Victor can chest press 70kg and leg press 140kg
19. A horse is a horse, of course, of course
20. Lorna is an angel for looking after me when I choke on my vomit
21. There aren't enough get-togethers

Ten things huh.

1. Mark and Lorna have a house so vast that when two folk stay over unexpected, they can still have their own room.
2. Crysis 2 on the PC on its highest settings is the greatest thing I have ever seen.
3. Ed has not seen any of the Star Trek films and should watch them quickly before he is burned at the stake.
4. Ben can somehow set up an achievement on the forum within the space of 3 or 4 minutes using some kind of technopathic link to the forums.
5. Lee Williams can think with portals.
6. Victor does not like being hit in Arkham Asylum
7. I have honestly lost count how many is this?
8. I shouldnt have done this in quick reply, I cant look through them.
9. Pete is some kind of fire juggling ninja.
10. I should have gone to the meet last year, missed so much!

2) I hate people upstaging me in Batman: Arkham Asylum
3) My gaming temper does not want to simmer down

-Chief singing about chimpanzees puts a stupidly big smile on my face.
-He's also still a kickass chef.
-I can wear sunglasses in the dead of night and no one will question it...
-...but they will question me being barefoot.
-It's a good thing I didn't commit to ten of these!
-Reading tweets about the PSN being down is a really easy source of laughs.
-You can notice the moment when peoples' hearts break.
-Pete's going to get me for all the coke I stole from him.
-Everyone will try and make me jump playing games.
-When I get out of the shower everyone but Lee will be gone and I'll walk in on a massive spoiler. Oops.
-Apparently it's really weird that I don't watch porn.
-Some cheeky fucker hasn't asked if I saw what they did yet, and where I put it before I left
-It was amazing getting away from Hollyoaks.
-I didn't want to leave.
-I can't wait for the writer's meet!

• The railway will conspire to ruin as many journeys as possible over the weekend. Everyone who travelled by train was dicked around, and not in a good way.

• With Ben and Lee collab-ing on Portal 2 maps expect smart design tempered with absolute lunacy. And robot dinosaurs with Zombie DLC.
  
• 'Magnetta' would be a great supervillain to rival Mark. He would have a certain coloured cape...
  
• We know what you broke. You monsters.
  
• Split screen co-op on Portal 2 is brutal.
  
• Pete needs to hide his coke
  
• Lee has Superman pyjamas.
  
• If Telltale Games were a person, Ed would marry them. They would fall for the puppy look too.
  
• Shops that don't stock Cote Du Rhone are rascist.
  
• King of Kong was surprisingly good. Steve Weibe, as lovely as he was, should still have chinned Billy Mitchell.
  
• Ben should award himself a forum prankster award... that's the second time now...
  
• Speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out... and hits a wall before falling to its death if your name is Lee or Ed.
  
• Ben's shake of the head, along with a muttered "console gamers" was priceless, along with his and Zero's expressions as Ed and Lee butchered the Portal 2 co-op.
  
• Ben and Lee spent a lot of time huddled over the iPad... we suspect that they were plotting world domination, possibly involving a mutated version of Train Simulator, with Portals for wheels... coming soon to PSN near you.
  
• Sony crashing and burning is ideal humour fodder for a weekend chock with gamers.
  
• The cake wasn't a lie.
  
• Justbiglee's Big Adventure is to exit development hell and re-emerge as a board game.
  
• 'Low Res' is the gamers' patois for Clueless's 'Monet' observation.
