TopWare Announce Sacrilegium

Two Worlds publisher, TopWare Interactive, today announced their new survival horror title, Sacrilegium – a game which thrusts players into the role of 20 year old college student, Alex who finds herself descending into a world ‘beyond known reality’ in an adventure which promises ‘complex and multifaceted action’.  Battling to save not only her friends, but herself and her very soul from corrpution, Alex will have to utilise every scrap of skill and instinct… good thing she has kick-arse martial arts skills then, isn’t it?

The game utilises the new GRACE 2 engine, also developed by Reality Pump Studios (owned by TopWare), which is responsible for the rather tasty visual treats in Two Worlds 2.  With Sacrilegium, TopWare and Reality Pump are hoping to redefine and reinvigorate the survival horror genre in terms of atmosphere and story, as well as raising the bar to a new level for gameplay.  Whether or not they can pull it off is anyone’s guess at this stage, however, given how much we enjoyed Two Worlds II, we wouldn’t put it past them.
