Black Mirror Devs To Tackle The Inquisition

Hot on the heels of the successful final part of the Black Mirror trilogy, Cranberry Production have announced their latest adventure: The Lost Chronicles of Zerzura.  Far from resting on their laurels, the German developers have, this time, swerved away from the devastated castles and crannies of the English countryside and, instead, are plunging players into the sinister medieval world of 1514 and the Spanish Inquisition.  Players will take on the role of young inventor, Feodor, on a mission to track down his brother after he was kidnapped by the Inquisition shortly before the completion of the brothers’ flying machine project.  Making use of Feodor’s skills to solve puzzles and progress through the story, players are promised a dark narrative which takes them on a journey through various countries, exploring a variety of cultures, including the mythical Zerzura.

If the eyeball punching visual impact of Black Mirror 2 and Black Mirror 3 are anything to go by, we’re expecting great things from Cranberry with The Lost Chronicles of Zerzura, especially given the setting and sinister backdrop.  We’ll bring more info as soon as we have it, but in the meantime you”ll have to make do with the Q1 2012 release date.
