Work Halts On Star Trek: Infinite Space
by GL News
Those hoping to boldy go in the upcoming free to play Star Trek browser game, Star Trek: Infinite Space will be disappointed as work on the title has come to a halt. German developer, Gameforge stated that it is down to a lack of interest from publishers, having sought a publishing and marketing partner since Autumn 2011. “Unfortunately, our efforts were not successful. So we have decided with a heavy heart to finally abandon the project Star Trek: Infinite Space. The discontinuation is very regrettable.” We’re surprised, given the current trend of flinging every franchise imaginable at the online model, that something as big as Star Trek has failed to garner any interest. Sad times.
