Investigation Into Overheating PS Vitas Underway
by GL News
It seems that while sales could certainly do with being hotter for Sony’s shiny piece of tech loveliness, the PS Vita, the unit itself is certainly having no problems with heat – at least in some cases. A Japanese government agency has launched an investigation into reports of PS Vitas overheating while being charged, the problem appearing to specifically be at the point where the charging lead meets the unit
So far, there have been around 31 reports globally, but Sony aren’t appearing too concerned at this stage, placing the blame on the consumers, stating: “the problem is with people having liquids or other objects inserted in the connection.” That’s okay then, we’ll remember not to play KerPlunk with ours.
