Krater Collector’s Edition Details Emerge
by GL News
With the internet abuzz about top down action RPG Krater, those folks who still prefer their games to come in boxes should be glad to hear that the retail collector’s edition is scheduled to arrive on 17th August, 2012 and will come with a host of extras.
Krater takes place in a post-apocalyptic world in which cities have emerged from the devstation and rubble and made their mark around a giant impact crater – a crater whose centre contains an abyss that no one has ever properly explored. Not only does the game boast extensive crafting, ‘consequences’, exploration, and vibrant backdrops, but it combines action RPG combat mechanics with the top-down tactics of classic dungeon crawlers, making it a sexy looking, if intriguing, title. Expect a review incoming soon. In the meantime, check out the retail edition…
Contents of the collector’s edition include:
- The full game
- Dr Cerberus special character pack
- Krater soundtrack-CD
- 40-page “The Art of Krater” book, designed exclusively for this retail version of Krater
- A double-sided poster

A forty-page art book?? I’d seriously buy this just for that. The game itself is great, granted, but the art style is so beautiful and is what initially drew me to the game. I’m going to start saving my pennies!
