Salem Live Stream Demo – 27th September

It has been a while since we had some news about the upcoming Salem MMORPG, but for those who have been champing at the bit to get stuck into Paradox’s tough 17th century world, the latest from the game’s publishers should satiate for the time being.  Paradox have just announced a live stream demo of the game which will be premiering on 27th September at 3pm EST on Twitch.tv.  The live stream will be the first in a series, allowing players to get a coveted look behind the scenes at the game and get a better idea of what they can expect once it rolls out next year.

Gordon Van Dyke, producer at Paradox Interactive had this to say:

“Our players have asked for more info, more access and a greater view into how our title line-up is coming along. We’ve found a way to bring our community deeper into the process through live streaming demos, show off our progress and give our fans and players the chance to ask about how things are developing.”

The lure of Salem is a persistent and ever changing online world, where the players become colonists, battling against the harsh elements of 17th century New England.  Throw player deaths into the mix and you have a tough but intriguing sounding title.  GamingLives recently had the chance to see the game demoed at Gamescom 2011, so expect an incoming preview.  For now, however, the live demo will have to do and will be broadcast over the net on Tuesday 27th September, at 3PM EST, via the Official Paradox Interactive Channel on Justin.tv and Twitch.tv at: http://www.twitch.tv/paradoxinteractive
