Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes – Preview
It’s Tuesday afternoon, the Electronic Arts press conference and the assembled gaming press are furiously hammering away on laptops and iPads, illuminated only by the light from their screens and vying for bandwidth on an overly stretched wireless network. A short but explosive presentation for Need for Speed: The Run has just concluded and it’s just being announced that Dr. Ray Muzyka is about to take the stage, meaning that…

RollerCoaster Tycoon Heading for 3DS
Here at GLHQ, many of us love our management games, and what better title than that candy floss wrangling, guest drowning amusement park sim, RollerCoaster Tycoon? Yes, some of the Werthers generation among us still love and play the original, crashing coasters, dropping whinging guests into the lake, and hiking up the prices of umbrellas whenever it rains. So, we were naturally excited when news rolled in of our fave park sim…

The Book Of Unwritten Tales – Preview
In a time before meshes; before polygons and dynamic lighting, the graphic adventure was king. The first of these were a hybrid between the classic text adventures of old and the use of what limited graphical capabilities computers had at their disposal, but it was enough to allow the players’ imagination to leap off the screen and pull them in with a little nudge beyond what text alone could do…

Xbox Live Bans for Marketplace thefts
It’s not uncommon for Microsoft to unleash the Xbox Live banhammer once every few months. Rounds of banning are generally conducted for typical reasons — piracy, cheating and the like — but this ban session is a little different. We’ve received several tips on the matter, and Microsoft has issued a statement on the Xbox.com forums saying that the console bans were the result of Xbox Live Marketplace “theft.”

3 Million Copies of Dirt 3 Go Missing
Publishers Codemasters and graphics card manufacturer AMD have been running a promotion lately whereby purchasers of a card got a free copy of excellent racer Dirt 3. That offer has now been, uh, slightly expanded. It seems Codemasters had the reserved download codes for the promo – estimated at around 3 million copies of the game…

Activision Regains Control Of ModernWarfare3.com
The issue of the web domain ModernWarfare3.com, originally spotted thanks to a (presumably unofficial) Battlefield 3 promotion and later outed by DNS service GoDaddy, has been settled. You guessed it: Activision and its lawyers have prevailed. The National Arbitration Forum has decided unanimously in favor of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 publisher…

Awesome return. Gamescom certainly sounded excellent. Theme Park and Rollercoaster Tycoon both are rubbish compared to Theme Hospital. Hospital management rules!
Lee.. Come on dude. Deus Ex! DEUS EX! Not Jew Sex or Doose Hex. Deus Ex!
And it’s on par with Mass Effect 2!
It’s not even close to Mass Effect 2 – Thanks for listening
Brilliant podcast you guys! Bloody hilarious from start to finish too, with plenty of focus and loads of ground covered too.
I reckon maybe a bit longer looking at ideas from articles on the site for a week, as I felt that part of the podcast went past rather quickly. Otherwise, Theme Park was better and I’m looking forward to hearing more from you soon
At least it is not just me that mispronounced Deus Ex. I blame the word Zeus for my mistake. Even in Latin, it is pronounced Zeus, not Zay Ooze. Good podcast.

You pronounced Activision wrong. Apart from that, it was acecakes.
