Lovers of Lovecraftian horror who enjoy dipping their toes into the sinister waters of the horror point and click genre will, no doubt, have heard of the Darkness Within games.  We covered Darkness Within 2: The Dark Lineage some time ago, and now, publisher Iceberg Interactive have decided to chill spines once more with the release of a collector’s edition that brings together Darkness Within: In Pursuit of Loath Nolder and Darkness Within 2: The Dark Lineage, along with some tasty extras.

The games operate at the dark end of the adventure genre, plunging players into a sinister world of macabre happenings, where reality and nightmares begin to blur, so don’t be expecting a happily ever after or even relaxing boxart.  Traditionally, adventure games get overlooked when it comes to the sexy collector’s editions that we love here at GLHQ, however, recent trends have shown, as with the Gray Matter and Black Mirror Trilogy collector’s editions that they are slowly becoming more prevalent – about time is all we can say.  The Darkness Within Collector’s Edition will be available from 13th May and is available for pre-order from Iceberg’s webshop.
