Bethesda’s Big Release Date Roundup
by GL News
Well, seemingly going for the hardest working award, Bethesda are packing out this year’s game release schedules with a number of heavy hitters which are being well eyeballed by discerning gamers. Without further ado, in case you blinked and missed one, here they are:
Brink – developed by Splash Damage, this impressive looking parkour/shooter/action game wowed the crowds at last year’s Eurogamer expo and we were lucky enough to get the chance to chat to Paul Wedgwood about it. Combining single player, multiplayer, and co-op action, Brink will be released on May 20th (17th for our American cousins).
Hunted: The Demon’s Forge – The fantasy action adventure co-op titles which sees you take control of two characters – one warrior/tank and one ranged fighter, for some intense fantasy/dungeon action. This will see the lighter side of store shelves on 3rd June in Europe (1st June in the US).
Rage – The game that won ‘IGN’s ‘Best Overall Game of the Show’ at E3 2010, this is an intense first person shooter which includes some tasty driving combat and will be released on 16th September here and September 13th in the US and Canada.
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Well, we thought we’d save the best ’til last. How could any Bethesda round up close without mentioning the latest in the Elder Scrolls saga. Only recently announced, after keeping gamers on tenterhooks for bloody years, this expected-epic will be released on the fabulously tasty 11/11/11.
So, if your bank balance wasn’t going to be ravaged enough, there are a few more than you may have forgotten about. Sorry! However, cash sink or not, this year os shaping up to be one of the gaming’s strongest yet.
