Black Mirror Trilogy To Get Ltd. Ed.

With the first half of the year promising to be a busy time for adventure point ‘n’ click fans, it would seem that the teasing of UK and other gamers with sexy, collector’s edition sets that we won’t be getting, continues.  After recently reporting on the gorgeous looking Gray Matter Collector’s Edition, which is only seeing a release in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, it would appear that Black Mirror is following the same route.

A sexy looking set, fitting of the trilogy

With the third and final part of the trilogy due to hit UK shelves in April – two months after Germany and co. – a collector’s edition trilogy set always seemed like a great idea to bring the series together, with the added treat of a few baubles.  The good news is that someone else apparently thought so, and one is on the way in the shape of the Black Mirror Collection – a very limited edition set.  The bad news however, is that, again, it is only going to see a release in selected mainland EU countries – namely Germany and, we suspect, Austria and Switzerland.

The set has sexy looking digi-pack packaging, part of which reveals the sprawling Gordon family-tree and includes the entire trilogy, along with some extras.  Again, UK adventure fans who can’t resist had better get importing, however, be warned that, unlike the Gray Matter Collector’s Edition, this one is German language only.  This means a second purchase is necessary in order to play in English, so if you were thinking you’d beat the UK release by two months as a bonus, then you’re out of luck.

A final warning note to bear in mind is that this Black Mirror collector’s edition is limited to 3,333 pieces, so don’t take too long!

The set is released on 4th February, 2011 and includes the following:

  • Digipack featuring x4 discs, including Black Mirror I, Black Mirror II, and Black Mirror III
  • Bonus soundtrack disc, featuring the best music from the trilogy
  • Artbook
  • A3 poster
  • Postcard
