Ninty’s Winter Lineup Selection

The boys are back in town

As if we didn’t have enough on our gaming plates to spoil us this Winter, what with sequels to Fable and Assassin’s Creed, along with Fallout: New Vegas, COD: Black Ops, Medal of Honour, etc, but Nintendo are adding to the feast with some top releases confirmed.  Aside from the casual-ware titles such as Wii Party and Disney Sing It, there are some core pleasers which deserve a mention:

• Sid Meier’s Pirates -  8-Oct
• GoldenEye 007 -  5-Nov
• Sonic Colours  – 12-Nov
• Disney Epic Mickey -  25-Nov (Excl UK)
• Donkey Kong Country™ Returns  – 3-Dec
• Professor Layton and the Lost Future  – 22 Oct
• Golden Sun™: Dark Dawn -  10-Dec
• Virtual Console – Mario Party™  -  2-Dec

With a few returning favourites slated for release, some after a painfully long absence, it appears that Nintendo may be making an effort to kiss and make up with core gamers.  Well…as long as you discount the various exercise, singing, and party games that is.  Unfortunately we’ll have to wait until next year for Kid Icarus, Megaman, and perhaps Starfox (if we’re lucky), but the return of Mickey and Kong should at least keep us going until then.
