Capcom Shuns Gamescom
by GL News
In a surprise move, Capcom have announced that they won’t be exhibiting at one of the gaming industry’s key events this year, namely Gamescom. With Sega also recently declining to attend, the abstention of another major publisher comes as somewhat of a shock.
According to Develop-Online, Capcom’s decision appears based on the fact that the original Dead Rising was banned in Germany by their notoriously ferocious ratings board and that with the major release of the sequel pending at the end of the year (which hasn’t yet been given the nod by the USK), it ‘would be remiss’ of them to promote the sequel.
