Sims 3 ‘Late Night’ Expansion

In our experience, you don't get boobs like that without modding...

With many Sims fans still mourning the loss of the vastly popular Nightlife expansion pack in the transition from Sims 2 to Sims 3, the latest news from EA should smack more than a few gobs.  EA have revealed that their new Sims 3 expansion pack, due out in the autumn, is titled ‘Late Night’ and from the details that we have, it sounds like most of the popular elements of the Sims 2 Nightlife expansion have been retained.  Including vampires.

According to EA:

“The Sims 3 Late Night is full of ways to approach a rich, new life beyond a Sims’ normal day, such as schmoozing with celebrities on the rooftop of a skyscraper, wooing the crowd with your Sim’s band, or being the best bartender in town at the hottest new lounge.  Players will be able to take their Sims into the bustling urban setting where they’ll be able to become a local celebrity, member of a music band, mixologist, director, and more.  To gain entrance into the most elite clubs in town, players need to keep their attitude in check otherwise they’ll be given the cold shoulder by tough bouncers or find another way onto the list.”

With a pulsing, vibrant ‘downtown scene’ to be explored, there will be no more tucking up in bed with ‘What Llama’ magazine now; there are parties, bars, and celebs to rub shoulders and other bits with, and hot tubs to kick back in.  As always there is something for everyone, so whether your Sim is a high flying business man cruising elite bars, or a down and out ‘one piano dive’ lover, there will be a slice of night time heaven with your Sim’s name on it.

On top of that, as with every expansion, players can look forward to a range of new careers, locations, objects, and interactions.  However, for many, the best news will likely come in the shape of vampires.  Yes, the fanged ones are back, having been introduced way back in Sims 2: NightLife and then stripped out along with everything else for the new game, to the chagrin of many players.

So, roll on October 26th and expect Twilight Sims fans to drown the internet in naff, sparkly fangsters while the rest of us prop up a leather bar somewhere in downtown SimVille and bitch about them.
