The slew of special edition boxsets continues with little sign of stopping, with Civilization V the latest to get a nifty wash and brush up. 2K Games announced today that, come the September 24th release date, UK fans of the strategy series will be able to get their mitts on Sid Meier’s Civilization V Special Edition for a meaty £59.99.
Contents include:
- 5 metal figurines based on units from Civilization V and manufactured by Reaper Miniatures
- 2 disc CD soundtrack of game score selections
- DVD “Behind the Scenes at Firaxis on Civilization V”
- 176 page hardcover art book
Sadly, no pics were available at this time, but as soon as we get our hands on one, we’ll wipe the drool off and get it up

For that price tag (£15 more than any of the WoW special editions – which are probably some of the best I’ve owned) I’m going to be expecting something quite nice.
Really hoping for something special from this, the series deserves it if anything.
