Alien Breed: Impact – PS3 and PC
by GL News
While many Xbox360 fans of the revered Team 17 classic, ‘Alien Breed’ may have been delighted when the revamped Alien Breed: Evolution hit XBLA, PC and PS3 users were left out in the cold. Team 17 have have now redressed the balance, however, and gone a step further, with the announcement of Alien Breed: Impact for both the PS3 Network and PC (via Steam).
Alien Breed: Impact is apparently a ‘heavily expanded’ edition of the XBLA game, Evolution, with community suggestions having been taken on board and used to tweak the experience. With the promise of a new Prologue campaign, tougher gameplay and the need for greater exploration, along with weapon upgrades and co-op enhancements, it seems that PS3 and PC fans will be kept busy. This time, it would appear to be the turn of XBLA gamers to press their noses to the window and sigh…at least until the next episode.
