This game looks incredibly awesome. Topware did a good job with this one. I also liked the first Two Worlds.

Sounds awesome. I really hope it'll sell well so they can continue to improve even further, cause those people know how to make sandbox RPG's, that's for sure :) I really liked the exploration in TW + the fact that you could combine weapons to make them better was brilliant as well (loot being such a big part of the gameplay in these games.) In many was a better game than Oblivion..

Doesn't look like anyone knows when the release date is.

GAME don't have a date yet. Play.com say 24th June. HMV have it as 24th September.

@Rook - I got that very same impression... whether it was that I'd asked the right questions, or he was just excited about the game anyway is something we'll never know though. It's much better to have a responsive interviewee though, makes for a much more fluid read. I miss interviewing actually!

I'm getting more and more keen for TW2 as the time rolls on... and I believe that it's being released on Monday 31 May if the Zuxxez store is anything to go by "This product will be in stock on Monday 31 May, 2010" so I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope that it happens.

The whole game excites me, as it's BOUND to be an improvement on the original and I loved the original anyway... so anything over and above the gameplay, mechanics or aesthetics is going to be icing on the cake as far as I'm concerned. Like Lorna, I found the concept of being able to construct custom weaponry to be fantastic... it's basically why I spend so much time on crate runs in Borderlands... to put the random seed to work and see what amazing weaponry will spawn within the crates... but this time around, with TW2, it'll be MY decision as to how they look and perform. That's SO damn immersive. I love it.

@Fragging Rights - Heh heh yeah, I think I played Oblivion through three times but never managed to finish it a fourth as other games got in the way and I just never got around to going back to my previous save. I was going down the Mage style this time rather than the heavy weaponry, so it would have made it a lot more interesting than my usual "run in and start hacking" tactic.

Great interview and well presented. The game certainly sounds interesting...especially being able to forge your own weapons. Enchanting armour etc was one of the things that I enjoy in Oblivion, so to take this a step further is a good feature.

With the fancy special ed boxes, I may not be able to resist, but it will come down to how I like the demo ultimately.

Nice interview. I'm really hoping they can set that benchmark. Lord knows I can only play Oblivion a dozen or so more times.

"Do you think it’s unfair that most RPG games are still being compared to Oblivion as the benchmark"

Good question that, bit of a pet peeve of mine as I don't rate Oblivion that high, it's good but not 'that good'.

Quite looking forward to this, felt a bit let down by the first as on the 360 it just didn't tick any of my boxes, hopefully we'll perhaps learn some more at E3 :)
